RRU Catterick team's Story
Hello and thank you for following our fundraising effort.
As rehab and exercise professionals we work with serving military personnel who have been injured during active service, aiding their rehabilitation to return to work and activity, setting goals and rehab programmes in relation to their roles and daily lives.
However, once they have left service, often on medical grounds, rehabilitation services drop off and can be difficult to secure.
Team True Spirit inspire, enable and support our ex-servicemen and women to set and achieve new goal, using endurance sporting events. This provides a sense of purpose rehabilitation and achievement in their success.
As a team, we are completing our own endurance event, the Montane Lakeland 50 in aid of Team True Spirit. The 50 mile race across the width of the Lake District and with 3000m of elevation has and is taking commitment and dedication to prepare. This includes completing other challenges such as the Yorkshire and Lancashire 3 peaks.
We would be grateful for any donations in supporting our cause and in aiding Team True Spirit to support our veterans in achieving their goals.
Many thanks,
Capt Hannah Stocks, Sgt Kieran Kelsey and Sgt Ryan Mcvitty
